(Pet-Felt installation)
This project was created in collaboration with WDKA and IN-ZEE for DDW 2022. I was tasked to come up with an innovative approach towards PET-Felt and challenge the possibility of this material.
„Till we cross paths again” is a poetic installation referring to nature, the future of the planet, and plastic.
Can we create a symbiosis between plants and plastic?
PET Felt is a soft, yet firm material made of recycled plastic bottles. By making PET Felt fluffier I created a similar structure to cotton wool which absorbs water very well and therefore is suitable for planting.
Besides this, I experimented with how I could use the roots of plants to connect multiple layers of Pet-Felt.
